Can I bring my laptop to jury Duty Colorado? ›

In the jury room, jurors may be allowed limited use of a Portable Electronic Device, but any such use shall be in accordance with the instructions delivered by the presiding judge at the commencement of jury selection or trial.

Any person who fails to show good cause for noncompliance with a summons may be subject to a fine up to $1000, imprisonment up to three days, community service, or any combination thereof.

You may bring bottled water, coffee in a container with a lid, snacks - please do not bring nuts to avoid any allergic reactions, and medication (in the original prescription bottle) with you. Business casual clothing, including jeans, is appropriate. Standby jurors are not excused from work.

A prospective trial or grand juror shall be disqualified, based on the following grounds: Being under the age of eighteen; Inability to read, speak, and understand the English language; Inability, by reason of a physical or mental disability, to render satisfactory juror service.

All regularly employed trial or grand jurors shall be paid regular wages, but not to exceed $50 per day unless by mutual agreement between the employee and employer, by their employers for the first three days of juror service or any part thereof.

After the third day, all jurors receive $50 per day from the state and will be required to fill out a W-9 to begin receiving payment of $50 per day.

Citizens are not subject to serve more than one time per calendar year. To serve in our court, a juror must: live within the city limits of Colorado Springs.

The courts will never assess a fine or penalty for failing to appear for jury service without first having the person appear before a judge. Jury duty is a vital civic responsibility and should be taken seriously by all citizens.

Jurors are allowed to bring cell phones and electronic devices into any Circuit Court of Cook County court facility. Please have your summons available at the court facility's security checkpoint to verify your jury service.
