How do I place a lab order on Quest? ›

Your doctor may prescribe lab testing as part of your visit. Or you can request a specific lab test from your doctor. A lab order can be printed or digital. If your doctor doesn't hand you a printed lab order, we recommend contacting them prior to your Quest appointment to confirm that it was sent electronically.

As you stated, the lab order was written on a prescription sheet and not on an official LabCorp sheet, which means it will be up to you to take and present the prescription to whichever laboratory company you prefer.. We are connected with Quest's national hub, and joint ventures and partner sites such as SonoraQuest and the Nichols Institute are not connected with the national hub. Therefore, if you visit one of these locations, results may be delayed and may not be routed through our system as normal.

Place the order in Epic and select the "Add On" button. Once this order is signed and released, it will print the requisition in the laboratory. The laboratory staff will determine whether the specimens in the laboratory are adequate for the new order and add the new order to the appropriate specimen.

Often, doctors send us lab orders electronically. If you have a paper copy, bring it with you.

A payment may be required at the time of service for all past due balances. Quest Diagnostics reserves the right to refuse laboratory services for failure to pay for past services.

There is a non-refundable cancellation fee of $10, which includes Quest Mobile administrative fees. In some states, applicable taxes are nonrefundable as well. If you do not complete your in-home visit within 60 days of your purchase, your purchase will expire and you will be charged the full collection fee.

However, if you're asking about the price, our Quest prices are lower simply because our agreements with Quest are a bit different than those with Labcorp. Both Quest & Labcorp are America's largest clinical laboratories that we've partnered with for collection and processing of specimens for our customers since 2005.
